MARY'S PLACE, A WORLD FAMOUS DIVE SITE IN ROATAN.
Mary's Place is one of Roatan's world-famous dive sites, a must-see for divers visiting the beautiful Bay Islands. This site was formed centuries ago by volcanic activity, a massive fissure was shaped along the coral wall in the south center area of the island.
Steep walls filled with ample soft coral and sponges, huge blue fans, green and gold sea rods, barrel and tube coral. The top of the reef stars at 20 feet and the deepest point is at 115 feet.
Mary's Place is one of Roatan’s most spectacular dive sites, the fissure is illuminated by shining sunlight, it feels like diving between two mysterious walls. We recommend going slow, so you can appreciate the colorful macro organisms. When exiting the swim through you can encounter big groupers, horse eye jacks and dog snappers. Mary's Place is ranked high on any serious scuba diver's list.
The dive site is just a few minutes away from our dive center in Big French Key, so we can plan your visit to this magnificent dive site on your next dive trip to Roatan.
